I guess alot of us who do do Photography were having the similar backgrounds when we were young. Part of that reason is that it was easily accessed through drawing, painting and writing to reflect our creativities. At the same time, it is highly unusual that the kids could get a decent camera from their parents because of its expenses.
I have been doing Photography for many years now (which I still am), but I would say I had a rather large jump from drawing and painting then, to now of pursuing the 3D Animation as my first priority. I guess alot of my old time friends (well… not that old in fact) were surprised too when they found out. But anyway…
