Senior sessions are in full swing and one of the most commonly asked questions I receive from my clients: “What should I wear?” My response: “Wear what makes you feel your absolute best!” Truth is, if you feel amazing, you will look amazing- and when it comes to senior pictures- anything goes! One of my favorite places to turn to when I need fashion inspiration is Polyvore! Last night, I stumbled upon this great inspiration board featuring aClick for more »
How is it even possible that the end of summer will be here before we know it? Living in Oregon, I honestly love every season and it’s always a little bittersweet when a season nears it’s end. I’m pretty I feel this way every year about this time. ;) Though, there is no denying, Fall is- without question- my favorite season of all! If you’ve never experienced Fall in Oregon, you are definitely missing out because there’s nothing else quite likeClick for more »
At the risk of receiving some hate mail from readers of RECKLESS, who are already asking for a release date for BREATHLESS, I am happy to announce that my next novel to be released is a stand-alone called SUMMER OF GRAY. Writing Hailey & Jonah’s story is quite complex with so many layers, I wanted to ease my writing brain and pen something simple, oozing in innocent romance and dripping with drama. So, this will be just that.
Now, for my RECKLESS READERS,Click for more »
Now that Reckless is complete and reviews are coming in from readers, there are a thrash of questions piling in, too. So, I figured I would compile the most commonly asked questions here for a fun little Q&A. If you have a question that isn’t addressed in the post, please feel free to add it as a comment below and I will do my best to get those answered!
When will Breathless (book two) be released?
As of now, I don’t have a release date for Breathless.Click for more »
I can’t believe it’s July! This is the time of year that everything gets bananas (B-A-N-A-N-A-S! -this song is going to be stuck in my head all day now!) I call it summer chaos, but I say it with a smile, because it’s the good kind. :) July is the month that senior sessions kick into high gear and I love that! While I am booking up, I do still have some summer sessions available! If you are looking for the ultimate senior portrait experience, be sureClick for more »
As far as I am concerned, July 15th should be a national holiday. Why, you ask? Oh, you know, because Reckless releases on that day! And in my world, that’s kind of a big deal, since it’s a day that will forever change my life. Can I just officially declare the 15th as Reckless Day? Consider it done. Speaking of Reckless, did you know you can pre-order an autographed paperback? Yes, indeedy, you can! Interested? You can find out all of the detailsClick for more »
I don’t think it is humanly possible to be more excited than I am right now! So much has transpired in such a short amount of time, I am still trying to wrap my head around all of it. First off, HELLO COVER! What?! Yes. This happened. Hailey & Jonah were brought to life- which was absolutely surreal for me. I wish I could explain how it felt, but I assure you, there are no words…
So, what is Reckless all about? Well, it’s a love story. But it’sClick for more »

I’m really switching things up today. I don’t typically post twice in one day AND I rarely have senior guy sessions to share- so this is pretty much awesome, all the way around! As most of you probably know, I specialize in high school senior portraits for girls. Because I am a specialist, it isn’t often that I get to work with senior guys.
I often get asked by other photographers if I find it hard to photograph guys and my answer is a big, fat NO. AClick for more »
It’s official: the last of our group workshops are open to everyone- this includes people within my typical shooting area in Oregon! We used to have an area restriction, but as we wind down to the last of our group workshops, I’ve decided to open them up to anyone and everyone interested in attending. I hope to see you at our next workshop! For the record, we are doing away with group workshops and focusing on 1-on-1 workshops, going forward.

If you are familiar with my blog, or my work, you probably already know that I tend to be a little light on my Photoshop editing. It took me several years to figure out my style and now that I have, I try to keep my work consistent. My goal is to keep the natural aesthetic of my images whileClick for more »

Patience. Something I seem to be lacking these days. Which is kinda funny, because I have never really been an impatient person. That is until I delivered five copies of my recently written novel to my test readers. Enter the impatience. I am literally beside myself with anticipation and anxiety as I wait to receive feedback from everyone. Holy crap- it’s rough to wait!
I’ve received feedback from two people, so far. And I can’t lie, I am so happyClick for more »
Here he is! My Jonah Trabor male Muse, the one and only, Mister Paul Wesley. There weren’t a ton of guesses for him- however, there was a person on the FB page that guessed right away- and that made my day! From the very start, I have always seen Paul as Jonah. I am a HUGE Vampire Diaries FanGirl, more than that- I absolutely love Stefan Salvatore- so you can imagine why I chose him. (PS- Can I just throw in that the Season 5 finale was insane! WTF?!)
