Cadie | Holli True Photography Workshops

From the very start of my journey with photography, I have always been very passionate about it and realized early on that when the time was right, I would share my passion with other photographers.  In the early days of my business, I felt pretty isolated and alone.  I didn’t know anyone in the industry and the few photographers I had interacted with locally weren’t interested in connecting or networking with me, so I didn’t have helpful guidance.  I was wandering blindly through my business and it was terrifying.  Over time, I met some key, influential people who changed my course dramatically, for the better.  Their friendship, listening ears and supportive conversations helped me to see who I wanted to be in the industry and exactly who I didn’t want to be.

I love connecting with photographers from all over the world.  I love talking shop, geeking out about silly things like ISO, F-Stops, Posing and Reflectors.  I love helping photographers identify the weak spots in their photography and business and offering my input to turn their weaknesses into strengths.  I love showing photographers how to simplify their shooting process, spending more time interacting with their clients and ending the deadly, awkward silence that seems to loom around so often.  I love sharing what I know and making new friends.  I love to teach.

For 2013 we have several upcoming Workshops catered around Photography.  For two whole days we will get to create and inspire together.  I don’t believe in secrets, any questions you have, I am happy to answer them.  At each Holli True Workshop, I dive into my 5-in-1 shooting process I started several years ago, where you can pose a client one way and yield five different sellable images with only a few small changes.  On average, I show 75 images to each of my clients, which are captured in about an hour and half.  I only have to fully pose my clients about 15 times to get all of these images, allowing me more time to engage with her and less time fumbling, moving, tweaking and constantly adjusting her.  Small changes are all you need to capture a totally different shot.  I will show you firsthand how I do this, so you can implement the process, too.  :)  If you are interested in attending one of our 2013 Holli True Workshops, you will find more information here.

Last month I had the amazing opportunity to travel down to Texas to teach one of my Workshops to a fabulous group of talented Senior Portrait Photographers!  The trip was a total whirlwind, I loved every minute I spent with the attendees and the gorgeous high school models that my incredible hostess, Kelly of KellyAnneStyle, wrangled up for us, with the help of her rock star assistant, Kim!  (I need a Kim in my life!!)  For those of you who don’t know Kelly, she is one of the sweetest, most adorable and amazing girls I have ever met!  Stalk her Facebook, I promise, you’ll thank me!  Each of the models from the workshop will be featured on the blog.  :)  I am kicking things off with the stunning, Cadie!  Each of the girls were so sweet and amazing, I could have photographed each of them all day!  Thank you so much Kelly & Kim for putting together an amazing event!  I adore you both to pieces and miss you both tremendously- come to Oregon!!!  :)  Much love!
