This past weekend we wrapped the very first Holli True Workshop for 2014! And let me tell you, it was so much fun! I always get a little nervous about the weather here in Oregon, in the Spring. But we managed to stay dry and even had abundant sunshine for one of the shoots, so we totally lucked out! ;)
Posing is a huge element to what I teach- but knowing angles and perspective isn’t the only element to a successful shot. There are several things to dial in, including lighting, communication, engagement, crop, mood and style… just to name a few. We cover these topics in depth, hands-on, while shooting. If these are areas you are looking to improve upon, this workshop is for you. Submerge yourself in two full days of non-stop inspiration, hands-on education and connecting with other photographers, just like you.
The Holli True Workshop is an intensive workshop for senior photographers at an intermediate level. I will cover all of the nitty-gritty business essentials like specializing, branding, pricing, marketing and more. We will also go on-location in Oregon with photo shoots each day where we will focus on working with natural light and reflectors, posing, communication and expression. You will see firsthand how I work with my clients, the locations I choose and how I engage with them to gain authentic expressions. I tend to work in a small location for a long period of time, which will give you a totally new outlook on locations, which is always very eye-opening for attendees!
HOLLI TRUE WORKSHOP
JUNE 5th & 6th, 2014
During the two day event, you will work with gorgeous models in two unique environments. I will be there to help and assist in perfecting the posing, show your tips and tricks along the way. I will cover angles, perspective, variation, hands, feet and so much more! Day One we’ll be keeping things a little more traditional, but still detailed. Day Two we’ll be shooting a beautiful concept with beautiful elements to enhance your photography experience. For June, the concept is Shabby Chic.
My goal is to connect with you in a real way during your time here in Oregon, space is limited to just 6 attendees per workshop. This keeps the shooting groups capped at 3 per model- no fighting for your shots or overwhelming the model. ;) This also means you’ll have more time with our beautiful models and more images to take home for your portfolio. Our smaller workshops also ensure a more intimate, hands-on learning environment for all of our attendees.
