PPO Day 2

Our day began at 6:30 this morning.  I got about 5 hours of sleep, so I was quite reluctant to get and get going.  Hehe!  We hit the Lightroom & Workflow Early Bird class with Mark Fitzgerald– we picked up some new shortcuts and tips to improve our workflow- this is always a good thing!  I am currently considering outsourcing my RAW processing, but I’m just not sure…  I’ve heard of some great companies to go with, I’m still researching this, but I should know which way I am going to go soon!  In the mean time, I can totally use the tools that Mark gave us today to navigate even quicker through the editing process.

Following breakfast, we went on to our next speaker, Jeff Dachowski.  He is from New Hampshire and shoots Weddings, Children, Families, Businesses…  Basically he shoots anything and everything!  :)  His class was very informative and helpful to Jeff and I, as we are trying to find creative ways to grow our business.  Jeff Dachowski offered us some fabulous ideas for reaching out to businesses- ideas that I think we are going to put into practice.  I’m excited to see what may come of these changes.

Later in the day, Bryan Cox was our second speaker.  Brian is from Utah, he shoots a lot of models, Weddings and Lifestyle sessions.  He offered a lot of advice on branding, pricing, and finding our target clientele.  Keep the focus smaller and develop relationships and create the ultimate experience for our clients.  I really like this method- I am all about quality and not quantity.  His presentation was like a validation to me, that we are traveling on the right path to a successful, thriving business.  It’s a great feeling!!

After dinner we had a photo scavenger hunt, these are always fun and so interesting to see other people’s perspective and creativity!  We managed to cover every item on our list- yes, we rock!  :)  We ended the night in the Hospitality Suite where we discusses some  of the changes that are coming to the PPO.  I’m excited to see what happens!  Now, I am ready to call it a night a go to bed!  Sorry, no pics tonight, I will totally post pics tomorrow!!!
