Yesterday I went to the Powerline Jam just south of town. Hosted by Life Cycle BIke Shop along with downhillcoalition.org. Kona came out and brought some downhill demo bikes for riders to tryout on the trails or just around the flats. With Kona showing up the jam was changed to rain or shine we will ride. When I got there it was sunny, I met up with Gilad and figured out where I needed to go. As I left the tent site it started hailing, I thought about taking off since the camera can’t take the water but stuck it out since I was going into the trees. I started from the top and walked down until I saw some extreme sections that I thought would be some wrecks. (everyone knows as a spectator that is what we like to see). The event got started a little late due to the fact that it started snowing, raining, hailing and a little sun. I was not able to stay for too much since it was postponed but I got some pretty cool images. The course was very muddy and I thought they would be going slow. These guys are going about 15-20 mph through the rock garden and it is about a 25 ft. downhill that they go through in about 5 sec. I was not prepared for the speed, next time I will be ready
Hope you enjoy!
