Each month, I sit down and draft a blog schedule for myself. I do this with the best of intentions, hopeful that I will be able to sit down and execute each every blog post I scribble into my calendar. And so far, for 2015, I have failed drastically and writing and posting the number of blog posts my heart desires. In the early days of my business, blogging was routine. Which kind of blows my mind because in those early days, when I didn’t have nearly the blog content I have today, I seemed to be able to post with ease. But today, when I have a list of topics to cover, sessions to share and announcements to make, I can’t seem to get it together. Go figure. So, dear internet, this is me, making another attempt at blogging successfully- please send your positive vibes my way because Lord knows I need them to make this happen! :)
Today, I am excited to share Makayla’s beautiful senior session with you! I knew that I was going to LOVE working with Makayla from our very first interaction I had with her via email. She was such a sweetheart and just so excited about her shoot, it made me even more excited to work with her! Makayla is a beautiful girl- inside and out- with an incredible talent that I have crazy respect for: ballet. As we were going through her outfit selections and she brought out her pointe shoes, I literally squealed with delight, so, so excited to capture a few images of her in pointe. I’ve had an obsession with photographing ballerinas since the early days in my business (you may or may not recall my urban ballerina session with Harley from 2009). Makayla, I can’t thank you enough for choosing me to be your senior photographer! I had the best time working with you and can’t wait to see all of the amazing things ahead for you!
