As I prep each session for their blog feature, I feel inclined to pinch myself. Being a senior photographer, I’m pretty sure I have the greatest job in the world. I get to freeze beautiful moments in time, explore my gorgeous state and work with the coolest girls from the PNW. I mean, seriously. It’s pretty dang incredible that I get to be creatively free for a living and call it work.
I’m not going to lie, it’s taken a long time to get here, though, in some ways, it feels like my journey only started yesterday. But, it’s been years. Years of blood, sweat and tears. Lots of tears. Buckets full. So many mistakes, so many trials, tribulations, missteps, heartaches and hurdles. Years of trying, failing, succeeding, questioning and struggling to get where I want go. Years of dreaming, chasing, hoping, wishing and praying that, one day, I would get there. Although I’ve come so far, I know I still have so far to go- and that’s okay.
One of the resolutions I set for myself in 2016 was to stop being so hard on myself and take the time to enjoy what I’ve managed to accomplish. Some would call this settling, but I don’t believe that. Because, to be frank, I’m not settling. I’m simply appreciating. I still have HUGE plans for this new year, big dreams and ambitions, hopes for the future of Holli True Photography and personal goals for myself and my family. And you can trust that I’ll be chasing those dreams at full speed, because that’s what I do. With that said, I also intend to cherish the moment I am in, with the people I love, celebrating what is right now, in this moment. While I trust in the hope of tomorrow, I know in the beauty of today.
I choose to honor the beauty that surrounds my life and celebrate it here on my blog. Today, I am so excited to share Rachel’s gorgeous senior session with you. Rachel is one of my amazing Class of 2016 Senior Models and I absolutely adore her! I’ve been fortunate enough to work with her a handful of times and with any luck, I am hopeful to get her in front of my camera again soon! Rachel is such a cool girl with a heart of gold and, as you can see, the camera simply loves her! Rachel, I can’t thank you enough for such an amazing senior session! You are such a doll and I loved every minute of your session! I hope you loved the experience, too! Much love!!
Rachel’s best friend, Victoria, came along for the fun, so I had to get a picture of the girls together. :) I love when my clients bring along their friends and family to share in the experience. A senior session is such a special moment and it should definitely be celebrated with the ones you love most!
