Things have been pretty busy for me lately… Fall senior sessions, completing client orders, editing like a mad-woman, speaking at Click Away in Seattle and working quietly on some new educational products for senior photographers. You’ll see something new on the blog next week, something fun that I know you’ll love- be on the lookout for that! And I also have a brand new product launching! I couldn’t be more excited about it and I can’t wait to share all the details about what I’ve been woking on! You’ll just have to stay patient and come back to check it out.
I’ve been thinking a lot about 2017 and what I want next year to look like for my business. There’s been a bit of a shift in my business lately and, if I’m being honest, at first it kind of scared me. After a lot of heart-to-heart conversations with my amazing hubby, Jeff, and my sweet industry friends, I can say with absolute certainty that those scared feelings have melted into a puddle at my feet. Having just returned home from teaching four classes at Click Away last week, meeting and connecting with so many amazing photographers from all over the world, I’ve been overwhelmed with the outpouring of kind words, sweet messages and thank you emails in my inbox. It’s an honor to be able to share my approach, passion and love for senior photography with so many of you. And, since Click Away, I’ve felt this undeniable pull to take the educational side of my business to the next level.
For those of you who really know me, you know this isn’t a decision I took lightly. This is something I have been mulling over for a very long time now. What I’ve come to realize is that every step I have taken in my business over the past ten years, has been leading me here. So, I’m trusting what my heart is telling me, throwing all caution to the wind and I’m jumping in with both feet. I hope you’re as excited as I am for what’s to come!
Just in case you missed it, yesterday I featured Part One of TAYLOR’S URBAN SENIOR SESSION on the blog and today I am so excited to share Part Two. Taylor wanted both urban and nature for her senior session, so we did just that! We hit up one of my favorite local parks for the second half of her shoot, which took place on a gorgeous war, sunny afternoon. Given the amount of rain that has fallen in the PNW over the past week, I just want to crawl inside these images and live in them forever. :) Taylor, you absolutely rocked your senior session like a total pro and I loved every minute I was able to work with you. And, for the record, you get the award for Gorgeous Hair, just so you know. I hope you loved your senior portrait experience as much as I did! Much love, girl!!
