When a client books their senior session for the Rose Garden, I’m not going to lie, I am giddy! Not only is the location gorgeous, lush and colorful, it’s also kind of like stepping into a dream. Like Dorothy arriving at Emerald City. From black and white to full-blown Technicolor. Talk about breathtaking! There is so much beauty at every turn in the Rose Garden, it’s almost impossible to take it all in. Almost.
Lauren is no stranger to the blog, or my camera, for that matter. This gorgeous girl also happens to be my cousin, so she has worked with me on many projects over the years. (BODY LANGUAGE, PHOTOGRAPHING HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS and THE BEAUTY OF SIMPLICITY, to name a few!) :) One location we had never ventured into was a garden, so it was only fitting that she chose it for her senior session. I’ve photographed Lauren since she was a toddler. Literally. All the way back to my PICTURE PEOPLE days, when her parents would bring her into the studio for photo shoots. (Did you know that’s where my journey began with photography back in 2001?!) Needless to say, I’ve been lucky enough to document many stages of Lauren’s life with my lens and I love that. Quite honestly, it’s hard to believe that she’s officially a senior!
As you can imagine, I had the hardest time trying to narrow down which pictures to share for this post. I loved so many from her session! Fortunately, since Lauren is one of my 2018 Senior Models from Sheldon High School, you’ll be seeing more blog features with her beautiful face! In the meantime, here some of my favorites! To Lauren, thank you so, so much for choosing me to be your senior photographer! You’re incredible and I love you, girl! XO!
