It’s been a lifetime since I’ve posted a session here on the blog. Truth be told, things have honestly just been so crazy, I haven’t had the mental capacity to sit down and focus on writing anything. I have a huge backlog of sessions to share– and I will share them– it’s just going to take a decent amount of time to get through them all. The past 14 months have been absolutely unreal. Heavy, emotional, exhausting, uncertain… In a nutshell, I’ve tried to maintain focus on day-to-day work and my family. Carving out time to blog just didn’t feel possible or necessary.
Before Covid was even on anyone’s radar, I had made the decision to take 2020 off of photography to focus on HOLLI TRUE DESIGNS. This turned out to be a major blessing because we all know what a mess 2020 wound-up being. Taking a year off was wonderful for me for so many reasons. Leaving Covid out of the conversation, just taking time away from photography helped me fall back in love with it. Sometimes, when you’re so submerged in something, it starts to cloud your focus and it stops feeling magical. Having a year to rethink, reshape, revise and renew my plan was seriously the best thing I could have possibly done for business– and myself. Now, I am more excited than ever to be able to pick my camera back up and work with amazing seniors for the upcoming Class of 2022 this summer and fall.
In the meantime, I would love to celebrate the seniors who haven’t yet had their sessions showcased on the blog. First up: Maci. This beautiful girl traveled down to Eugene from Corvallis for her senior portrait session. She chose one of my favorite rustic parks for her shoot, which definitely didn’t disappoint! Summer sessions always provide the most beautiful light, which inspires me so much! What can I say? I’m a sun-chaser. :) Maci, if you’re reading this, I just want to let you know how much I adored working with you! I know it was so unbearably hot during your session, but we still managed to have so much fun! Thank you so, so much for celebrating your senior year with me and choosing me to be your photographer! I hope you still love your photos and college has been an amazing experience for you! Much love!!
