I met an old friend for coffee today and it was almost like no time had passed at all. But it had. About 12 years to be exact. Of course, because of the awesomeness of Facebook, Renee and I have been able to chat here and there over the past few years, just not face to face. As I sat there with her, it made me realize how great it was to not be at my desk and be in a public place having an actual conversation that didn’t involve a large lit-up screen and the clickity-clack of my fingers on a keyboard. A real live person before my very eyes. :) It took me back to Maui, when I vowed to make changes in my life that would free up my time in front of a computer and allow me to interact more. I believe today was God’s gentle way of reminding me of that vow, as I have been on a three week work overload. I needed to pause for a moment and regain my perspective. And the best part- I didn’t come straight home to my computer, instead I made pasta salad with my daughter and conversed with my hubby. I feel revived again. :)
Earlier this week I met up with Brielle for a fabulous senior session in downtown Eugene. You can imagine my surprise when I woke up that morning and the sun was actually shining. In Oregon. In January! See, if you live here, you understand that this is a very rare occurrence for us, one that MUST be taken full advantage of! :) I was so stoked to have my fabulous friend (and intern), Justine, along for the shoot. Over the years, she and I have become quite a team and I feel so blessed to have her in personal life, and my business life. :)
Brielle, you were so amazing to work with! You are such a doll with a heart of gold and working with you was so much fun! Despite the ever changing weather (sun, rain, cloudy, rain, sun, cloudy…), you rocked the session! Thank you so much for trekking all over downtown Eugene with us- I have to admit I am in love with all of the new locations we scouted! :) I hope you love your pictures!
[On a side note, I am so excited about the new actions I used for this session from Formula One’s Organics Collection. They rocked my world- and I am sure they will totally rock yours, too!]
