Over the past six months I have come to know- and adore- an amazing photographer, Marissa, of Marissa Lynn Photography. Ironically, she and I went to high school together, though she is a few years younger than me. We really didn’t know each other then, though we had some of the same friends, it wasn’t until about six months ago that our paths finally crossed. We quickly discovered how much we have in a common- we both married our high school sweethearts, we share a passion for photography & writing, our families mean everything to us, and we are both obsessed with Vampire Diaries. :) Marissa has become a close friend and I feel so blessed to have her in my life.
Since coming to know Marissa, a conversation we had many times was about her husband, Jordan, who had been stationed out of the country, as he serves in the military. As you can imagine, after nine months of being separated from his wife and precious little girl, Brooklyn, they were counting down the days until they would be reunited. On August 21st, the three of them were finally all together again. :) Knowing that I am not a family portrait photographer, Marissa asked me if I would make the exception and do a session for her adorable family before they relocated to Mississippi- of course, I agreed! :)
Marissa, Jordan & Brooklyn, we had so much fun spending time with you during your shoot- we can’t wait for you to be back on the West Coast so we can do it again! We absolutely love you guys and are so happy to have you all together again. :) We are always, always here for you! We hope you love your pictures!! Much love!
