As a photographer, my goal is to spend as little time as possible behind my computer and as much time as possible behind my camera. In the peak of my senior season, time is of the essence and the last thing I want to do is spend 10-15 minutes on a single image- that just doesn’t work for me. I try to be as quick & efficient as I can be, keeping my Photoshop Editing time down to 1-2 minutes per image, maximum. Because I am not a Photoshop Guru, nor do I want to be, I invested in Photoshop Actions to save me time.
Last week I had the opportunity to meet up with Kevin Kubota, an amazing photographer and creator of Kubota Image Tools. Kevin and his wife, Clare, have the rare gift of making you feel like you are old friends, no matter how long you’ve known each other, they are so welcoming, so kind, so giving of their time and all-around great people. Knowing this about them firsthand, it makes me proud to support their business and use their tools in mine.
Now, if you aren’t familiar with Kevin Kubota’s amazing actions, take my word for it, they are incredible! There are countless variations of recipes you can create, ensuring your edits remain as original and stylish as your photography! The timing of this post couldn’t be better- Kubota Imagine Tools just released their new Dashboard 4 and many of their Action Paks are on sale! The Dashboard system houses ALL of your Actions in one searchable location, which saves you time from scrolling to find each one. If you are an Action Junkie like me, this is pure genius!
Here are a few examples of some of my images edited using Kubota Image Tools. The recipe for the edit is listed beneath each set of images. To better show you how amazing their Actions are, I have included the before & after images. I hope you enjoy! Also, be sure to check out Kevin & Clare on creativeLIVE right now! :)
