When Skye contacted me to book her senior session, she couldn’t decide on the location to do her shoot. She wanted something with greenery, but she also had her heart set on having her senior pictures taken on her family’s sailboat. We decided to do both! :) So, this blog feature has been divided into two sections to showcase both locations.
The first part of Skye’s session took place down on campus, one of my favorite places to shoot! It is truly one of the most gorgeous places to shoot, it has a great mix of old and new buildings, as well as walking paths and huge, lush trees that just beg to be photographed. It served as the perfect backdrop for Skye, giving her a great mix of natural beauty and aged texture- my favorite type of location! Skye’s best friend, Alyssa, came along with her for her shoot- I took a few pictures of them together, just for fun!
We met up at the lake at sunset for the second part of Skye’s senior session on a perfect fall evening. This was my first experience shooting on a boat, the idea of dropping my camera into the water crossed my mind a few times- luckily, I did not happen! :) It was a little weird for me to be so confined to a small space, but I tried to give as much variety as possible in the posing, given the limited workspace we had. All in all, this was such an amazing senior session to be a part of and I loved every single minute of it! Skye, I cannot thank you enough for choosing me to be your photographer. You absolutely rocked this shoot, I hope it was everything you hoped it would be and more! You are such a sweet, amazing girl and I loved getting to know you and your family! Much love!!
