It has been quite a year. I know, I know, everyone is posting their year in review, reflecting on all of the awesomeness that was 2012. While I could do that and likely will next week, this post is not about looking back, it’s about looking ahead- into 2013. We have been kinda quiet here on the blog and on our social media outlets lately. Part of that is due to the much needed break that I forced myself to take, but if any of you know me, typically when I get quiet, that means some heavy duty planning is taking place. :) I have a lot planned for next year, both for photography ventures and personal dreams. 2013 is going to be one amazing year, I can already sense it.
In late 2011 I launched Field Notes: Workshop in a Book. December 31st, 2012 is the last day you can purchase Field Notes- the close-out sale is happening now! In 2013, Field Notes will be getting a bit of a makeover and revamp and only attendees of our Be Inspired Workshops will be able to get their hands on it. Field Notes, in essence, is my entire business mapped out within the pages of a book. Things have changed a bit over the past 12 months, hence the reason for the makeover to the current edition. If you have been waiting to get your copy of Field Notes, now is the time! Only 2 weeks left before it goes into the vault for good.
Just coming out of the busiest senior season I have ever had, I only have four Be Inspired Workshops planned for 2013. Houston, TX (Feb. 8 & 9), Augusta, GA {April 19 & 20), Minneapolis, MN (May 3 & 4) and Eugene, OR (June 27 & 28). This is likely the last time I will be traveling for our Be Inspired Workshops. Going forward, we will hold 2 or 3 Workshops per year in Oregon. This is a very hard decision for me, but after a lot of time and thought, I know that it is the right one. :) It has been so much fun traveling and meeting so many of you over the past 2 years- I can’t wait to meet more of you in the future! There are still a few seats available at each of our 2013 senior portrait workshops, find more information here.
In March 2013 a new round of 1-on-1 Mentoring will take place. We are in the middle of our current session with photographers from all over the US. I absolutely LOVE mentoring, not only do I get to know each of my mentees personally, it allows us to focus on key areas of their business and target a plan of action that is realistic and designed around their market & brand. I only accept 6 mentees per session, the first 6 people to sign up are accepted into each course. Registration for the next session opens up in February. Be sure to sign up to be on our Notify List, as you will be notified 24 hours before open enrollment is announced to the public.
The Essentials: 1-on-1 Workshops are currently booking for Spring & Summer of next year. Only 2 per month are scheduled between March and July. We spend the day talking shop and logistics and work with 2 high school seniors during real sessions. This workshop is 100% hands-on! I have an entire website filled with information about my 1-on-1 Workshops. If you are interested in more information, be sure to check out the site!
Just to give you a taste of some of the fun things I have planned for 2013- I will be introducing a little something called True Elements. More details on this coming soon! I hope you all have a safe and beautiful holiday season!! Be sure to come back tomorrow to see Jasmine’s gorgeous senior session! Much love!
