I am so excited about this new segment we are adding to the blog! For a long time now I have always wanted to showcase all of the great creative masterminds in this industry, but I let fear stand in my way. Fear of what people would think about it or how it would be received. Needless to say, I overcame the fear and put the idea out there for the world to see. And the reception was so humbling! I am so incredibly grateful to all of the amazing photographers who came forward and agreed to be interviewed, all of which come from the happy Showit family. :) I promise that I will get to each and every one of you! To kick things off, I am happy to present to you Alex Beadon, England based photographer, taking the world by storm! :) I hope you love it!
My name is Alex Beadon and I am many things; a daughter, a sister, a girlfriend, a best friend, a photographer, a student, a reader, a sushi-lover, inspired, fun-loving, loud, a traveller, a third culture kid, passionate, a peace-lover .. I could go on and on.
What are three things we should know about you?
1) I believe love makes the world go round.
2) I live in England, was born in Trinidad and Tobago, and have lived in five countries.
3) I am a dreamer.
Define your style in 5 words:
Gorgeous, creative, unique, emotive, colourful.
What is your specialty?
I haven’t quite decided yet. I’m in love with so many different aspects of photography, I’m at the start of my business and still finding my feet. But so far I would say that I specialize in creative portraiture and weddings.
What inspires your work?
The question is – what doesn’t inspire my work. I’m inspired by literally everything in my life, from the leaves on the trees, the wind in my hair, the people I pass on the street, to the cartoons I watched on TV.

Where is your dream location to do a shoot or wedding?
I’ve always wanted to shoot in the ocean. I love the ocean, it makes me feel so free and relaxed, I’ve always wanted to bring that feeling into my photography. Unfortunately the ocean + my camera = a disaster waiting to happen ;)
Divulge one of your dreams for your business:
Where should I start? :) Wellll .. one of my dreams for my business is to be able to sell my personal art work and make a happy sum of money from it. I think it’s so flattering when someone wants to hang your art on their wall.
What do you love most about being a photographer?
The power of being able to capture moments forever with a single click of a button. The power of being able to create emotion within someone who views your photograph.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Happily living a life full of love, passion and inspiration. I will be living in a new country, doing something that allows me to incorporate all of the things that I love. I see myself making a difference and taking powerful photographs. I see a happy me. I can’t wait for what the future holds.

My great grandfather, becaues my father tells me he was an amazing man.

Know your camera. Know yourself.
