It’s a little late in the day to be rolling out a blog post, but I am FINALLY getting my rear in my office for the first time in weeks. To fill you all in on the chaos that has been my life, July has been a literal whirlwind. We welcomed our out-of-state friend into our home for a three week visit, which had us on the go with camping trips, activities and such. During her stay, I did have to work a bit (if you follow me on Instagram, you’ve seen what I’ve been up to…) but, we also had a not-so-fun experience when my son hit a huge rock while riding his scooter and managed to break both bones in his wrist. Two nights in the hospital, one surgery and a few doctor visits later, I am grateful to report that he is on the mend and already ready to get his darn cast off of his arm! In the midst of everything this month, our family has also been traveling all over the state of Oregon for both work and play. :) This past weekend we travelled over the mountain to Bend, as I had some senior sessions over there. We made it back home today and needless to say, I am so ready for a few days to unwind and start tackling my ever-growing to-do list!! To those of you who have made it this far in this post- I hope your summer has been amazing so far and that you’re soaking up as much sunshine as you possibly can!

Bend is one of my favorite places in Oregon to take senior pictures because of all of the gorgeous locations it has to offer. Mountains, natural parks, lakes, rivers, forests… for a girl who loves the Pacific Northwest, Bend hits the location jackpot. Having just returned from Bend today, it’s only fitting that I feature one of our AMAZING 2017 Senior Models from there! Kali is such a beautiful girl and I absolutely loved my time with her. It’s so fun to have the opportunity to do mini shoots with my senior models in the Spring, before their true senior sessions, as I get to know them better and they get a good idea of what their real session will be like and how I work with them. All I can say is Kali knocked my socks off during this shoot and I can’t wait to get her back in front of my lens next month for her senior pictures! Kali- thank you so much for choosing me to be your senior photographer and for being a part of my 2017 Senior Model Team! You’re amazing!!
