It’s not a secret that I LOVE where I live. I was born and raised in Oregon. My roots run deep here. The mountains, rivers, waterfalls and forests own my heart. They speak to me, inspire me and keep me constantly going back for more. Oregon is my home and I love her so. It wasn’t until I became a photographer that I realized how much I love my little corner of the US. Like so many, I took it for granted. I didn’t truly see the beauty that surrounded me. But when I started viewing Oregon through a lens, it opened my eyes to just how breathtaking she really is.

As a senior photographer, I am so lucky to have the opportunity to explore and adventure out to some amazing locations. Oregon is loaded with them. Some of these locations are completely remote and off the beaten path, while others can be found just minutes from my front door. I love that.

When Helena booked her senior session with me, she asked if we could do her shoot over in Bend. She is actually located up in the Portland area, but her family vacations in Sunriver all the time, so she wanted to have her senior pictures taken there. Bend is one of my favorite places to shoot, so I was instantly on-board. We started making plans for Helena’s session, choosing the perfect scenic location for her senior pictures. Although it was a little hazy (due to it being wildfire season), Oregon did not disappoint. It was breathtaking! Helena, I hope your senior pictures surpassed your expectations! You killed it, girl!
