It’s supposed to be Fall, but I’m pretty sure Mother Nature is still clinging to Summer, refusing to let go. At least, in Oregon. Our upper corner of the U.S. is known for being rainy and gray. It’s our label. Our stigma. I’ve lived in Oregon my whole life, so I’m not only accustomed to the rain, I look forward to it. Truth be told, I genuinely love it. Call me crazy, but it’s true. This time of year, we expect rain. But, it just isn’t happening. Instead, we’re being graced with endless sunshine. Of course, as a photographer, this is a wonderful thing. However, as a rain-loving Oregonian, I’m more than ready to welcome Fall and say a temporary goodbye to Summer.
Speaking of Summer, oh my goodness, was it a busy one! When Maddie contacted me to book her senior session, I was so, so excited! Maddie is the younger sister of my 2016 senior client, Hailey. (Click here to see HAILEY’S SENIOR SESSION.) I absolutely love it when I get to work with the siblings of my past clients! It’s such an honor! While planning all of the details for Maddie’s session, she decided she wanted to mix things up a bit. Although she wanted to do part of her session at the same natural park we went to with her older sister, but Maddie also requested that we also go to a rose garden. She travelled down to Eugene from Corvallis with her mom and we did just that.
Maddie, you are an absolute gem and I adore you to pieces! Thank you so, so much for such an amazing shoot and for choosing me to be your senior photographer! You are lovely in every way and I cannot begin to express how much fun I had working with you! I hope you absolutely love your pictures! Much love!!
