2013 is going to be the year simplicity. It seems that I have on this roll of simplifying everything in both my life and my business. Looking back at the past few years, I have always felt like I haven’t had enough time to get things accomplished. While I would spend countless hours on countless tasks, I had this overwhelming feeling that nothing was actually getting done. While I was spending all of my hours working- I hadn’t left time for play, personal projects or basic down-time. I had worked myself into a frenzy and could feel it taking over and if you know me, I am not a girl who likes to relinquish control. So, before I lost control, I regained it by simplifying.
My blog was one of the victims of my chaos. I have been so inconsistent with my posts, which breaks my heart. My blog has always been a very personal piece of my business, in every way it has been my diary, my journey. When I don’t tend to it, I start to feel disconnected, which is never a good sign. My blog has always been the heartbeat of my business, so I am so excited to get it pumping through all of the areas of my business once again. :) I hope you are as equally as excited! I have so many gorgeous sessions to share, so many stories to tell, so many amazing dreams, I cannot wait to share them all with you.
This past fall was a total whirlwind, I had the busiest senior season I have ever experienced in my seven years as a photographer. I still have so many beautiful sessions to share with you from the fall, I hope you don’t mind the change of season you will see here! Kicking off the rewind is the gorgeous Emily. :) I had so much fun hanging out with Emily & her best friend, Lacy (who you will see tomorrow)! I absolutely love when friends book their sessions together, it adds a whole new spin on the senior portrait experience, who doesn’t love having their best friend’s input during a session? Emily & Lacy are two of the sweetest girls I have ever met, having the opportunity to work with them made me fall in love with photography all over again. Emily, I cannot thank you enough for such an amazing session! I hope you absolutely love your pictures! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you! Much love!!
