I’m just going to say it… I am officially obsessed with designing concept shoots.  Seriously.  For those of you who don’t know what a concept shoot it, in a nutshell, it’s a shoot based around a theme.  I have been fascinated by concept shoots for a few years now and have entertained my fascination with several simple concepts, getting my feet wet with the process and trying out some of my ideas.  The beautiful thing about concepts is that they can be as simple or as complex as you wish to make them, to keep from feeling overwhelmed in the beginning, I kept my shoots inexpensive and pretty easy to pull off.  I am so, so excited about some of the themes I have planned for the near future, as well as the concepts planned for the Workshop this weekend!  Don’t be too surprised if you start seeing more and more styled shoots decorating the walls of this blog…  Just sayin’.  ;)  Speaking of Workshops, there are still some seats open at our June, August & October events!  For more information, be sure to check out our Workshop site!

At my last workshop, which took place in Houston, we had the amazing opportunity to photograph Emily.  Despite the cooler Texas temperature, (which was much warmer than my Oregon blood is used to in February!) Emily absolutely rocked the shoot like a pro!  I absolutely loved Emily’s style, a mix of vintage feminine and indy casual.  So rad!  Thank you so much for an amazing shoot, girl, you were so awesome to work with!  I hope you loved the experience as much as I did!  :)  Much love!!
