Here she is! My Hailey Covington Muse, the one and only, Miss Lucy Hale. I absolutely love that some of you guessed her right away- either you already know how much I adore her, or else you pictured her based on the description. ;) Of course, I’m hoping for the latter. It’s been so much fun to write an entire character based off of Lucy, she’s helped me write Hailey in a way that she feels like a real person.

There were key characteristics I had in mind for Hailey BEFORE putting a face to her. I wanted her to be petite, athletic and graceful. This is where the idea to make her a dancer came to mind- it would require her to be patient and disciplined, still athletic, but not necessarily sporty. I also wanted her to have long brown hair and hazel eyes- sometimes gold, sometimes green, sometimes somewhere in-between. Hailey is a beautiful girl, but in a very natural way, not cosmetic. And no, she isn’t one of those girls who constantly bashes her looks, either. She’s secure in the skin she’s in, more often than not, doesn’t really think much about it.

So, when Reckless is finally available (this summer!!) and you read all about the story of Hailey & Jonah, you’ll be able to see her just as I have all these months. Be sure to check back later this week when I post the descriptor of Mister Jonah Trabor. I can’t wait for all of you to see who I’ve based his character after- I promise, it won’t disappoint!!  ;)  XO
