It was seven years ago, following two photo shoots I had coordinated just for fun while traveling, that I decided to specialize in high school senior pictures. Going into those shoots with MEGAN and HARLEY, I had no idea that they were about alter my course entirely and change my life forever. But that’s the beauty of the journey, right? Not knowing. Those “just for fun” photo shoots made me feel creatively alive and free, they made me excited about what I was creating and who I was creating it with. I knew that if I could feel that way every single time I lifted my camera, then every ounce of blood, sweat and tears, every late night and early morning, and every sacrifice I made for my business would be worth it. My love for senior photography hit me out of no where and over the years it has only grown. I feel so incredibly blessed and fortunate that I get to live my dream every single day.

Today I am so excited to share Avery’s beautiful senior session that we did along the waterfront in Downtown Corvallis. I love working in this area because there is such an awesome mix of urban and park areas, all within walking distance to each other. You would never know it from the images, but the entire area we worked within for her session was within 2-3 minutes from where we started. I consider these types of locations little gems. :) Avery is one of my fabulous 2016 Senior Models and over the past year, I have had the opportunity to work with her a few times. There are so many great things I can say about this girl, not only is she beautiful from the inside-out, she has a heart of gold and she’s truly going places. Avery is the kind of girl who is going to take this world by storm and I love that about her. I can’t wait to see what’s ahead for this girl! Avery, thank you so much for choosing me to be your senior photographer! I hope you’re loving every last minute of your senior year! Much love!!
