Last August was a huge turning point in our business. We were slammed with weddings and senior sessions, feeling overwhelmed and exhausted, Jeff and I both knew that something had to give. As we talked about the future of our business and what our options were, we talked about no longer photographing seniors. My heart dropped and I had a lump in my throat the size of Texas. I shook my head and said, “There is no way I can let go of my girls.” And I meant it with every fabric of my being. Letting go of seniors would mean losing a piece of my heart. I just couldn’t do it.
Instead, we decided to let go of weddings. It was such a hard decision because we LOVED weddings. We loved playing a part in the beginning of our clients forever. We were blessed to share in the love of our clients and witness them vow their lives, their futures and their hearts to each other. It is such a beautiful thing to be a part of and it made us sad to have to say good-bye, but we knew it had to be done.
One year later, reflecting on how much has changed in the past twelve months, we know we made the best decision we could’ve made. Specializing 100% in Senior Girls my heart is happy and bursting at the seams. I truly LOVE what I do and feel so blessed to call this my job. I have the opportunity to work with young girls, changing the way they view themselves, giving them the opportunity to not only look beautiful- but feel it, too. Letting them see themselves through our eyes. :) I absolutely LOVE my job!!
I am surrounded by the greatest clients in the world, who only make me fall more in love with photography. Quincy was no exception. I fell in love with Quincy’s unique sense of style the moment I met her- wishing her clothes lived in my closet. ;) Quincy, I cannot tell you how thrilled I am to have you be one of our Senior Models for the Class of 2013. You are such an awesome girl with beautiful heart! I can’t wait to work with you again! We hope you love your pictures!! Much love!
