When Olivia and I started planning all of the details for her senior session, she asked if we could incorporate some pictures with her horse, Dodger. Of course, my response was an immediate, “Yesssss!” I absolutely LOVE when my horse-riding clients request this! Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with several horses and I am always in awe of their majestic beauty. More than that, I love capturing the bond and special connection my clients and their horses share. This was exactly the case between Olivia and Dodger. There were so many amazing moments shared between the two of them, it was easy for me to step back, allow them to interact and simply capture their interactions.
We started Olivia’s session in a huge rustic, natural park, which included expansive open fields, an old barn and a Pioneer House. As a girl who love history, you can imagine my excitement when we stumbled upon the Pioneer House, complete with a Carriage House and white picket fence. Seriously, so cool!! It was my first time every shooting at this particular park, so every area we chose was new and exciting. With how massive the park is, I’m pretty sure I could shoot there every day for a year and continually find new places to work with.
The second half of Olivia’s session took place on the property where Dodger is boarded. When we first tried getting some pictured of them together, Dodger pretended not to be interested. Before too long, he was giving us one beautiful shot after another. Olivia, I can’t thank you enough for such an amazing senior session! I had so much fun working with you and Dodger!
