I receive a lot of questions about my photography business, how I specialized, how I branded myself, how I market, how I pose & interact with my clients… Truth is, I learned the hard way through all of it. Trial and error, mishaps and missteps, successes and failures. It was quite a rollercoaster ride complete with the highs, the lows, the twists, the turns, the exhilaration and the sheer fear. I didn’t have anyone to turn to when I was building my business, I only had a camera and a dream.
When I decided to venture into the world of Photography Workshops, I looked back at my journey and laid out a blueprint filled with information I wish I would’ve known when I first started out. The last thing I wanted to offer was a workshop filled with fluff. I wanted to create a workshop based on valid, tangible information that attendees could apply to their own businesses. A workshop that would inspire you to pursue your dreams, create a brand based on who you are, build a solid foundation for your photography empire and get you back to the heart of your business- your clients. That is what the workshop is all about.
I am so excited to host a workshop in my hometown this fall! If you are familiar with my blog at all, you know how much I love shooting in Oregon in October. To celebrate how much I love it, I am inviting you to Eugene for 2 days of business essentials, inspiration and photography. On Day One we will cover our business from the ground up, what worked for us and what didn’t, how we stay connected to our clients and market our senior portrait business. On Day Two we will take you to some of our favorite shooting locations and explain why & how we shoot there, giving tips on technique, lighting and how to make the most out of every single pose. You don’t want to miss it!
Join us for our Senior Portrait Workshop on October 19th & 20th, 2012 in Eugene, OR.
