I am convinced that “slow-season” is a nonexistent state-of-mind. It used to be that December would roll around, things would wind down and I would have until March to get things done. You know, the things I can’t possibly get done April-November. Also known as EVERYTHING. But, here we are at the end of February and my ever-growing To-Do List is longer than ever. And I’m sitting at my desk, ready to bang my head against my keyboard. Because that’s productive, right? Truth be told, I’ve always said that I prefer to be busy, so I guess I’m getting exactly what I asked for. If that’s the case, Universe, I’d rather have my toes on a warm sandy beach right now, instead of winter socks, wrapped in a blanket. Just sayin’.
In all honesty, I’ve been busy because I have lots of awesome things in the works for 2018! After announcing the first date for my Evoke Retreat, it quickly sold out! I am so excited to announce that I’ve added another date for the EVOKE RETREAT, May 15-18, 2018. There are only a few spots left for this event, so be sure to snag your seat before it’s too late! This event is all-inclusive (including lodging and meals!) and is loaded with content on all-things senior photography! If traveling to Oregon just isn’t possible, I am getting ready to teach my third run of my online workshop with Clickin’ Moms, PHOTOGRAPHING HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS. This is a 4-week class that kicks off on March 5th! Enrollment starts at just $150 for a silent seat or $300 for a full participation seat! Follow the link to learn more! And last, but definitely not least, I am thrilled to officially announce that I have been invited back to teach at CONFERENCE TWELVE! There are no words for how excited I am to be reunited with my C12 Family in the Windy City! I hope to see you in Chicago this September, it’s going to be amazing!
Speaking of amazing, I have been dying to share Abby’s beautiful and colorful senior session on the blog! Abby is one of my Class of 2018 Senior Models representing Willamette High School, my alma mater! Abby really wanted to incorporate her awesome VW Bug and adorable pup, Wally, into her senior portrait session. This only added to the personality and uniqueness of her portraits, which I absolutely loved! It was so fun to change things up and try some new ideas and I loved the results! Abby, I can’t thank you enough for choosing me to be your senior photographer and for being a part of my 2018 team! You are such a beautiful girl and I have absolutely loved having the opportunity to work with you and get to know you. I can’t wait to see all of the wonderful things the future holds for you! I hope you’re loving every second of your senior year!
