Inspiration takes shape in many forms, evoking something from deep within. It can awaken a side of you that you never knew existed and motivate you in ways you never dreamed possible. I know this firsthand because I was inspired by photography- and it blindsided me. Photography has been one of the greatest gifts in my life and I can’t imagine my world without it now.
I discovered early on that my heart was for teen girls. With this knowledge came understanding, which became the driving force in my business. It isn’t often that teen girls aren given permission to feel beautiful in the skin they’re in- but that’s exactly what Young & Free is all about. I have seen firsthand the affect my sessions have on my clients, it’s not just senior pictures, it’s an experience that will live inside of them for a lifetime.
And that is why I do what I do.
In just a handful of years I have built my entire business around high school senior girls, crafting Young & Free into a nationally known and recognized brand. I have written dozens of articles on various topics and been interviewed for leading photography magazines, such as Lemonade & Lenses, Mozi, Rangefinder, Senior Style Guide and Denim + Grace. I was a speaker at the Atlanta stop for the Seniorologie Tour, a Celebrity Photographer with Chic Critique and filmed an educational video with Lensbaby. I have also been featured on numerous photography blogs, including Seniorologie, Mozi and Savvy Photographer. In early 2014 I became a member of CMpro.
In the past three years I have worked with hundreds of photographers from all over the US. Between our Group Workshops, Shoot-Outs, Online Mentoring & Coaching and our True Elements Guides, the number of photographers I have connected with has been surreal! Although I LOVED having the opportunity to travel and work with photographers across the nation, this past Spring I made the tough decision to step away from Group Workshops to open the door for 1-on-1 Workshops.
WHY 1-ON-1?
Because I love connecting in a real way and want to focus 100% of my attention to your specific needs, which simply isn’t possible in a group environment. My attention won’t be divided among a large group, it will remain on you the entire duration of our day together. If you are looking for a personalized, hands-on learning environment centered around your individual needs, the 1-on-1 Workshop is exactly that!
Spend the day with me as we discuss key areas of your business, brand, photography style and marketing. No questions are off-limits, I am an open book, ready to talk through every area you wish to cover. I will do a live website and photo critique, providing you with constructive feedback. Together, we will unveil a renewed outlook on your photography business.
Following lunch, we will shoot side-by-side, on-location. I will focus a lot of time and attention on location, expression, communication, posing, style and details. Learn tangible methods that will help you better control your sessions from start to finish. You will see firsthand how you can maximize your location, saving you stress and energy, resulting in more gorgeous images in less time. We will work with a total of three models during your 1-on-1 Workshop event, giving you a plethora of new portfolio images to take home with you for your website, business identity and marketing materials. By the end of this full day event, we will define your business, your message and your style. You will walk away feeling revived and ready to make your mark on the industry.
