If you missed my Periscope broadcast this morning for The Senior Scope, that’s a total bummer! But, you’re in luck because you can catch my Senior Scope Replay here! I shared my heart on a topic that is very near and dear to me: BRANDING. For those of you who have followed my journey over the years, you know that it has been a growing process to get my brand where it is today. This is likely the case for all photographers- or any small business owners out there.
When I started my business, I had no idea who I really was as a photographer. It took time for me to discover my style and what I was truly drawn to, to unveil what my strengths were- as well as my weaknesses. As I continued to learn, grow and understand who and what I was in this industry, I realized that my authentic brand had been there beside me the entire time. It had been staring me in the face, weaving it’s way through every inch of my photography, making it’s presence obvious- it just took time for me to truly recognize it and make it known.
I am Young & Free. My clients are Young & Free. It’s not just two words, strung together because they sound nice. It’s a mood. A feeling. A way of life. Who I am. Who they are. What I am all about. It’s real. It’s now. It’s authentic.
I am my brand. My brand is me. While it may evolve over time- and it should- it will still always be there, just as it always has been, beside me, every step of the way. Because even as I continue to grow- my brand will grow with me. And even as I find new ways to express what Young & Free is and what it means to me- it will still always be the heart of who I am, what I stand for and what I do.
