Happy Monday, friends! I know I am a little late getting my post out today, for that, I am sorry. As I prep for my MOHS Surgery tomorrow, I have a to-do list that is easily a mile long loaded with things I would like to accomplish before then. For those of you who didn’t see my recent Instagram post, I had a biopsy done on a little raised bump near my eye. Unfortunately, it came back as skin cancer- Basal Cell Carcinoma, to be exact. My speculation on what it was wavered back and forth, of course, I feared it was the scary C word, though I was still SHOCKED when they officially confirmed it. My immediate response to my dermatologist was, “Skin Cancer? No thank you.” If only it was a choice, right? As you can imagine, I’m little nervous and apprehensive of what tomorrow will bring, though I am trying really hard not to think about it too much. I’ll happily take the inevitable scar in place of the ugly skin cancer. I’m just praying that it will be a quick and easy procedure. To all of you who have shown love and support, thank you, from the bottom of my heart!! I can’t begin to express how much it means to me!
INSTAGRAM POST:
For a few years now, I’ve had this little spot by my left eye (near my nose). I’m not exactly sure when it appeared, I just know that I’ve always hated it and recently, it seemed to be growing in size. Last week, our son had to go to the dermatologist, so I decided to make an appointment for me, too. After a biopsy, I received confirmation yesterday that the ugly little bump is even uglier than I thought- it’s skin cancer (Basal Cell Carcinoma). As a person who loves the sun, I’ve also always been someone who lathers on sun screen, but that isn’t always enough. In the coming weeks, I’ll be undergoing MOHs surgery to have this nasty little monster removed. If it weren’t for my son, I don’t know when I would have had this checked- and that scares me. PLEASE get your lumps, bumps and spots checked, friends. You just never know!
I’m hoping to get all of my blog posts scheduled out for the week so I can stay on track with having fresh content posted five days a week. This is the start of the fourth week and I’ve LOVED having my blog weaved back into my daily routine. I’m not about to let this little curveball in life throw me off track. We have some beautiful senior sessions to share, as well as some fun announcements for summer! I can’t wait to indulge your curiosity- stay tuned! I’ve also had several people reach out with questions about various things, so here’s a quick little wrap-up and status update:
WILL YOU BE HAVING A WORKSHOP OR SHOOT-OUT IN VEGAS DURING WPPI?
No, unfortunately. I am so bummed to have to forego attending WPPI this year, but with this sudden event in our lives, my hubby and I decided that staying home this year was the right decision.
IS THE SENIOR SCOPE OVER?
No, definitely not! Life has been crazy for our crew between holidays, travel, life and business. We had to take a bit of an unexpected break, but we’re still chatting behind the scenes with plans to resume our broadcasts in February! One big change is that we will no longer be airing bi-weekly, we will be broadcasting once a month instead. Keep you eyes open for future updates about this!
ARE YOUR EVOKE RETREATS SOLD-OUT?
Almost! Due to a scheduling conflict, we now have one seat open for each our Evoke Retreat events (April & May). One of our attendees had to switch her seat to the May event, opening a seat for our April event. If you’re interested in joining us for an unforgettable weekend at the beautiful, majestic Skamania Lodge, please contact us and we can get you all of the details!
DO YOU OFFER 1-ON-1 WORKSHOPS?
Yes! We’ve offered 1-on-1 workshops for many years now, perfectly tailored to your specific needs and key areas of focus. We are currently accepting registration for Spring & Summer, limited to just 3 events per month (starting in March). For more information, please go here.
ARE YOUR TRUE ELEMENTS STILL ON SALE?
Yes, the bundled set of True Elements PDF Guides are still on sale for just $99. We will likely be retiring these guides this year, so be sure to snag them before it’s too late.
I hope you all have a beautiful week! If you have a question that I’ve missed, please post it here! Much love!!
