There are fewer places in the Pacific Northwest more beautiful than Bend, Oregon. Breathtaking is a word that comes to mind. Gorgeous, incredible, amazing… Based on that stellar collection of words, you can easily understand why Bend is one of my favorite places to take senior pictures. I’m fortunate to have senior clients from Bend and other towns around Central Oregon, each year, which keeps me traveling over the mountain for sessions. It was during one of my many drives that I happened to notice a picturesque location on the side of the highway, that caught my attention. Blink and you miss it. Nestled discretely between patches of massive, 100-year-old trees, is a small, fence-lined meadow with a view that would knock your socks off.
When my niece, CHLOE, started planning for her senior session, she didn’t know where she wanted to go. She’s a Bend native who attends Mountain View High School, so having them done on her stomping ground was really important to her. As we bounced location ideas back and forth, I suggested the meadow. I had wanted to shoot there for years and years, but for whatever reason, never had. When she saw some pictures of the location, she was all for it! To say I was excited would be the understatement of the century! To have the opportunity to photograph someone so near and dear to my heart, in my dream location, it was everything. And so much more.
Chloe, I love you, girl. I can’t even wrap my brain around the fact that you are about to graduate from high school. It just doesn’t seem possible. Where does the time go? I feel so sentimental and emotional writing this tribute to you that I can’t even put into words everything that I want to say. I am so proud of you and just think the world of you. If you ever need me, I’m here. I hope you’re having the best senior year a girl can ask for. Love you, Chlo-Chlo.
On a much lighter note… ;) It’s hard to believe that winter will soon be behind us and Spring will be making her grand appearance in the PNW. I don’t know about you, but after the crazy winter weather we’ve endured this year, all I can say is bring on the sun! If you’re about to graduate in June (from high school or college), I still have a handful of Spring dates available for senior/graduation pictures! Or, to the Girls of 2018, my Summer & Fall calendar is officially open and dates are filling in quick! To learn more or to book a session, just complete the contact form at the bottom of this post and I will be in touch with you!
