Eleven years ago today, a young girl was just awakening to flutters in her tummy. A slow smile spread across her lips as she clutched her stomach and shook off the last remnants of sleep, slowly realizing that the day had finally arrived. The day she had been planning. The day she had drawn a huge heart around on her calendar. The day she had been impatiently waiting for.
Eleven years ago today, a young girl was buttoned into her white gown, her veil falling halfway down her back. She slowly paced the bridal room, counting down the final minutes as Ms. McCulloch. She must have asked how the boy in the other room looked a dozen times, knowing he would be as handsome as ever. She was about to be a wife to the boy she loved and couldn’t be happier or more ready.
Eleven years ago today, a young girl grinned her way all the way down the aisle, with her father sobbing beside her. Her future husband was smiling back at her, their eyes locked on each other. Time seemed to stand still and it felt like they were the only two people in the room. They vowed to honor and cherish one another, to love and obey, until death do them part. Their vows were sealed with a perfect kiss. They walked hand in hand down the aisle as Mr. & Mrs. with huge grins and happy tears.
Eleven years ago today, a boy made a girl his wife. In that same moment, he made her the happiest girl alive.
Hubby, I love you. I never thought I could love you more than the day I married you, but I was wrong. You are my best friend, the perfect daddy to my children and the best business partner in the whole world. I know you get scared every time I say I have a new idea, which is often, but despite this, you always encourage me, push me, inspire me and support me. You and I are so intertwined and I know that without you, I wouldn’t be half of the woman I am today. Because of you, I know what unconditional love truly is.
Thank you for loving me.
Happy Anniversary, hubby. I love you.
