I made a list.  An intricate list on a pink post-it.  A list of reasons that I memorized, knowing I had a lot of convincing to do.

So many opportunities are presenting themselves.  Once in a lifetime opportunities that I know will only help guide me to a prosperous and fulfilling work and personal life.  I can feel myself getting closer, but I know I still have a long way to go.  And while I dream of “getting there”, I’ve faced the fact that that day may never come.  But I will always push, always strive, always learn, always grow and always apply myself.  As long as I am progressing, I know that I am succeeding.

Will my list succeed?  I don’t know yet.  But I hope so.

I can’t sit back and just wait for things to happen.  I have to take the proper steps to make them happen.
