I can remember being about 5 years old and playing with you at my aunt and uncle’s wedding. We weren’t supposed to go upstairs, but we did anyway, thanks to my brother. :) We got into trouble, but we had too much fun to care. We were in our own world even then.
I can remember playing soccer with you in my backyard when I was in the 6th grade. You were way better than me, not to mention happy to showoff- and I was too stubborn to admit to you how good you really were. Funny that we’re still exactly like this with each other.
I can remember showing up at your sisters house to babysit. You were sixteen and had just gotten your drivers license, so you picked her up to drive her to her birthday dinner. I remember how cute I thought you were and then pressed your 8 year old nephew for details on whether or not you had a girlfriend. You didn’t. You wanted to drive me home that night, but your mom didn’t think it would be a good idea. I was so bummed.
We started dating about 3 months later. :)
I can remember you telling me that one day we’d be married. You were right. I was only 18, you were 19. July 31st, 1999. We’ve been married almost 11 years now- I didn’t think I could ever love me more than I did that day, but I was wrong. I love you, and our kids, more than anything.
You are my best friend. My husband. My everything. Thank you for being an amazing husband and daddy to Cole and Addi. We love you!!
Happy 30th Birthday!
