I love this time of year.  Like, really, really LOVE this season.  Living in Oregon, we are fortunate enough to experience all of the seasons that Mother Nature is known for, which is one of the main reasons I love living here.  There is something magical about this time of year in Oregon.  We are known for being green, thanks to all the rainfall.  ;)  But when October hits, those vibrant shades of green begin to turn to rich hues of yellow, orange and red.  It becomes a visual playground.  Like Dorothy stepping out of Black & White Kansas into Technicolor Oz.  Yes.  Exactly like that.  Don’t believe me, come check out Oregon for yourself!

I thought it would be fun to pull together my top twenty reasons for loving this time of year.  Enjoy!!

1. Family.  This time of year means family gatherings and Holidays.  I love that.
2. Seniors.  I mean, I chose to specialize for a reason.  I LOVE my clients!
3. The color.  Obviously.
4. American Eagle Jeans & Jeggings.  Yes, I welcome Fall simply because I can wear jeans again.
5. Football.  College (Go Ducks!), NFL (3 Fantasy Teams!), my son’s Pop Warner Team (Go Willamette Redskins!)
6. Baking.  I love to bake, it calms my soul- I think this is a trait I inherited from my Grandma.  :)
7. Boot Weather.  I wait all summer to be able to slip into one of my many pairs of boots.
8. The Smell of the Rain.  One of my favorite scents- proving I am a true Oregon Girl.
9. Personal Projects.  This time of year makes me feel inspired, which results in several creative shoots.
10. Carving Pumpkins.  The bigger the better- more design space!!
11. Movies.  Rainy days mean snuggling up on the couch with a bowl of popcorn and a blanket.
12. Scarves.  One of my newest addictions.
13. The Sounds.  Rain on the window pane, the breeze through the trees…
14. Pumpkin Everything.  Scones, bread, cake, cookies, pie.  Um, yes, please.
15. Cinnamon Candles.  I am a bit obsessed with yummy smells, in case you couldn’t tell.
16. Fires.  The crackling sound has a very calming, mesmerizing effect, don’t you think?
17. Hoodies.  Because they’re cozy and fabulous.
18. TV Shows.  For real!  Vampire Diaries is back!!  (Team Stelena!!)
19. Plaid Shirts.  This was a personal triumph for me with our new fitness plan.  Yes!!
20. Writing.  This time of year is when the writer within me awakens.  Hello, novel!
